My customer says that the invoice was paid several weeks ago, why is it as unpaid in my account summary?

There may be many different reasons. Some common ones are:

1. When a customer says that the invoice has been paid, it often means that it has been scheduled for payment on the due date — which means the actual payment will be made on that date.

2. For public sector entities (such as the state, municipalities, or regions) and large corporations, a 30-day payment term always applies — regardless of what is stated on the invoice. You cannot expect them to pay earlier, even if the individual who placed the order has approved the payment.

3. If a customer makes a payment without referencing the invoice number or OCR number, it becomes more difficult for us to match the payment to the correct invoice.
